K2 - Triomphe et tragédie sur la montagne sauvage
Chris Bonington et Jim Curran retracent l'histoire des expéditions au K2 de 1903 à la tragédie de l'été 1986, où 13 alpinistes périrent. Ces événements tragiques ont ancré dans l'imaginaire collectif l'image de la « montagne sauvage ». Engagé par l'équipe britannique « Fuller's K2 » pour documenter leur tentative d'ascension de l'arête nord-ouest, alors vierge, Jim Curran passa tout l'été sur la montagne. Inévitablement, son documentaire s'est transformé en un récit poignant, au cœur de cette période tragique qui coûta la vie à 13 alpinistes.
