Le bureaucrate Winston Smith travaille dans l'un des départements. Mais un jour il tombe amoureux de Julia, ce qui est un crime. Tous les deux vont tenter de s'échapper, mais dans ce monde cauchemardesque divisé en trois, tout être qui se révolte est brisé.
